Add Diagnoses Codes to Patient Encounters

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a patient chart. The Patient Chart view opens. Patient Chart view Select the Diagnostic icon. The Diagnosis view opens with the active diagnoses codes applied to the patient. It also displays the patient's demographic and encounter details. To add a diagnosis to the encounter, select Add Diagnosis. The Add Diagnosis view opens. Add diagnosis for a patient encounter Select a diagnosis from Previous Patient Diagnosis or Commonly Used Diagnosis or search for a diagnosis code powered by IMO® terminology, enter a search criteria in the Search field, and then select a diagnosis from the search result. A view opens listing the details about the diagnosis code and other suggestions from the IMO database. Diagnosis code details To add a diagnosis code to the patient encounter, select Add. Remove Diagnoses Codes from Patient Encounters

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a patient chart. The Patient Chart view opens. Patient Chart view Select the Diagnostic icon. The Diagnosis view opens listing the active diagnosis codes applied to the patient and also displays the patient's demographic information and the encounter details. To remove an active code, select and hold the code. A message appears prompting you to confirm the deletion. Select Yes. The code is removed from the Diagnosis view. NextGen® Mobile supports the IMO® Terminology. You can open the Patient Chart view to accurately add or edit accurate diagnosis codes on a patient encounter. Add Diagnoses Codes to Patient Encounters You can associate diagnosis codes with specific patient encounters. Remove Diagnoses Codes from Patient Encounters You can remove a diagnosis code from the patient encounter.

Remove Encounter Diagnoses from an Encounter to be Deleted

Access the Patient Chart. Select the Encounters tab, and then the General sub-tab. In the ICD-CM section, select the Open Record button. The Diagnosis Selection window appears. From the Selected ICD-CM Codes section, select a diagnosis code to be deleted. Select the blue left arrow button to remove the code from the encounter. A prompt appears asking to confirm the removal of this diagnosis. To remove the code, select OK. One of the following occurs: If the diagnosis code is not associated with charges, it is removed from the encounter. If the diagnosis code is associated with a charge, then a prompt appears stating that this diagnosis code is used on a charge and that it cannot be removed. Repeat steps 4-6 for additional diagnosis codes to be deleted. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Parent topic: Delete Encounters

Search for Diagnoses Codes

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a patient chart. Select the Diagnostic icon. To add a diagnosis to the encounter, select Add Diagnosis. The Add Diagnosis view opens. Add diagnosis for a patient encounter Enter your search criteria in the Search field. You can enter incomplete phrases. The list of codes matching your query appears. Some codes are multi-tiered, indicated by arrow icon. To view the encounter type or any other category associated with the code, select Arrow icon. A list of the available category types appears. Select the desired category type. The associated codes appear. To add a diagnosis code from the search results list, select the desired diagnosis code or select a diagnosis, and then select Add to add the code to the patient encounter.
