View a Communication Profile
You can view communication profiles in the categorized view or alphabetical view.
On the
Settings
window, select the
Profile
from the list, and select the
Edit Profiles
button.
The
Profiles
window opens. In the
Profiles
section, existing profiles are listed in ascending alphabetical order.
Select the profile.
The properties for the selected profile appear.
In the
Properties
section, select how you want to view properties:
Select the
Categorized
icon to list the properties under
Misc
categories.
The properties are listed in alphabetical order. The categorized view is the default.
Select the
Alphabetical
icon to list the uncategorized properties in alphabetical order.
Note:
The
Property Pages
icon is not operational at this time.
In the
Misc
section, the following appears:
Description
: Description of the profile
Id
: Profile Id (fixed value)
Name
: Name of the profile
Select
Close
if you have completed all actions on the
Profiles
window.

Update a Communication Profile
You can change any of the communication profile settings. You should not use an existing profile name and profile description. On the Profiles window, select the profile. The properties for the selected profile appear in the Properties section. You can view the properties in a categorized or alphabetical list. If necessary, enter a new profile name in place of the current one in the Name box. Enter a new profile description in place of the current one in the Description box. This name also replaces the existing name in the Profiles section. Select Save. Select Close if you have completed all actions on the Profiles window. Parent topic: Communication Profiles

On the Profiles window, select Add Profile. A message appears saying A copy of a default profile will be created. New Profile Select OK. In the Profiles section, Profile is added to the top of the list. The Properties section displays the default values for a new profile. View the properties in a categorized or alphabetical list. In the Name box, enter the name for the new profile in place of Profile. This name also replaces the name in the Properties section. Note: Do not use an existing profile name. In the Description box, enter a description of the new profile in place of Profile. The description also replaces the default name in the Profiles section. Communication Profiles
The communication profile enables you to add, update, and view profiles. Version 1.0 is the default profile and you can restore all panels and panel items with the Restore Defaults button. You cannot restore panel and panel items for other profiles. The communication profile properties are defined for using Communication in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
