Manage Trigger Scripts

The Trigger Script displays a list of NextGen® Enterprise EHR and user-defined trigger scripts. Selecting a trigger script displays the comments related to the script and adds all the scripts defined in the parameters to the grid. You can use the created script from the Trigger Functions icon in the main toolbar. On the main toolbar, select the Trigger Functions icon. The Trigger Scripts window opens. In the Trigger Script list, select the required script. The comments of the script appear. You can select the ellipsis button to add, update, or delete scripts. In the Parameters list, select the required parameter, and then select Apply. The parameter values are updated based on the trigger script selected. In the My Code Snippets list, select the required code snippet, and then select Add Code Snippet. The code snippet is added to the body area. Create a Trigger Script

You can create trigger scripts. On the main toolbar, select the Trigger Functions icon. The Trigger Scripts window opens. Select the ellipsis button next to the Trigger Script list. The Script Creation window opens. In Script Name, enter your name. In Parameters, enter your parameter, select Ref and Value from the list, and then select Add. Note: Parameter name must not start with a number or use an existing name. To clear parameter, select the parameter, and then select Clear. To update parameter, select the parameter, and then select Update. To delete parameter, select the parameter, and then select Delete. In the Template Type Association list, select the type of template. In the Comments box, enter your comments for the script. Select Add. The script is added in the Script Creation grid. A trigger script name must be unique. The added script takes the prefix as NextGen Adaptive Content Engine if application is launched through NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Admin mode, else USR f

Delete a Trigger Script

You can clear or delete trigger scripts. On the main toolbar, select the Trigger Functions icon. The Trigger Scripts window opens. Select the ellipsis button next to the Trigger Script list. The Script Creation window opens. Select the required script from the Scrip Creation grid. Select Delete. The script is deleted in the Script Creation grid. Select OK. Set Operation Rights for Scripts

Set up Operations Rights in System Administrator to control access to Template Editor - Script Editing, which enables users to perform script editing. Access System Administrator. In the left pane, expand the folders for the applicable Enterprise > Practice > User Group. Select the Rights tab. To view the list of subgroups, expand the OPERATIONS group. Expand the Template Editor - Allow Data Change group, and then select Template Editor - Script Editing. In the Access Rights section, select Yes to enable the right, or No to disable the right. You can update and maintain trigger scripts. On the main toolbar, select the Trigger Functions icon. The Trigger Scripts window opens. Select the ellipsis button next to the Trigger Script list. The Script Creation window opens. Select the required script from the Scrip Creation grid. Select Update. The script is updated in the Script Creation grid. Select OK.
