Open a Template
Do one of the following:
On the
Main
toolbar, select
Open
.
From the
Menu
bar, select
File
, and then select
Open
.
The
Open
window opens with
Templates
selected by default.
To quickly find a template by name, do the following:
Select the
Template Name
(default) or
Display Name
option.
Enter the first few letters of the name in
Template name
.
The window displays the group of template snippets that start with that name.
To narrow your search by template type or set, make a selection from the
Template type
list.
Double-click the template you want to open.
The template opens.
To close the template, from the
File
menu, select
Close
.

Set up Template Display Name
You can set up a display name for a template at run time. Open a template. From the File menu, select Display As. The Display As window opens. In the Template Display Name box, enter the name you want to display at run time, and then select OK. Parent topic: Template Setup

Modify a Template
Note: Avoid modifying existing templates in your production environment. Perform all template development in the test environment only. Open the template. Make all of the necessary changes, following the procedures for setting up fields and triggers and adjusting template properties and preferences. To save your changes, do one of the following: On the Main toolbar, select Save. From the Menu bar, select File, and then select Save. The template is saved in the database with the modifications you made. To save the template as part of one or more template sets, select File, and then select Save As Template Sets. The Save As Template Sets window opens. Select the checkbox for each template set that you want to assign the template to. Select OK. Parent topic: Template Setup See also Open a Template

Create a Template Set
From the Menu bar, select Tools, and then select Template Sets. The Template Sets window opens. Select New. The New Template Set window opens. Enter the name of the new template set, and then select Add. The new set is created and the list of all available templates appears. You can begin assigning templates to the template set. Note: You cannot delete a template set. If a template set is no longer needed, you can disable it. Repeat Steps 1-3 to create all necessary template sets. Select Close. Parent topic: Template Sets

View the list of Groups
You can view the list of existing groups for a template and sub-template on the Group Detailwindow and Snippets & Sub Templates panel. Open Template Editor. Open the required template or sub-template. To view the list of groups from Group Detail window, select #Groups on the main toolbar, and then select the Group list.The list displays the available groups. To view the list of groups from Snippets & Sub Templates panel, do one of the following: On the Main toolbar, select Snippets & Sub Templates . From the View menu, select Snippets & Sub Templates. The Sub Templates window opens on the Template Editor main window. Select #Groups from the Type list.The #Groups pane displays available groups for the selected template. To filter the groups as per template type, select Filter list, and then select the required template type.The group list filters according to the applied filter.
