The CPOE Incomplete Items report lists encounters with incomplete order items for a selected date range, location, and provider. Selecting Orders

To create your order, you can use one or both of the following approaches. You can select a diagnosis and then add the appropriate order items. This approach can be useful for differential diagnoses. For example, for a patient exhibiting symptoms of pneumonia, you may have two differential diagnoses—streptococcus pneumonia and viral pneumonia. You can select a set of tests specific to streptococcus pneumonia first, followed by a different set specific to viral pneumonia. You can select the order items first and then assign the diagnoses. In this approach, you can search for and select a laboratory, diagnostic, or immunization item using the following options. SAP® Crystal Reports® for Orders

SAP® Crystal Reports® packaged in NextGen® Enterprise EHR include reports specific to test orders. You can generate, view, and print both standard and custom practice SAP Crystal Reports. For test orders, you can use the standard set of orders-based SAP Crystal Reports to create reports for lab and radiology orders for your practice. You can create a report for the current encounter for the current patient. You can also map multiple tests to the same AOE question. Before the standard SAP Crystal Reports for test orders can be used to generate or print reports, set up is required in System Administrator. The reports must also be loaded in your database before you can access and set up those reports. You can configure the view of the list of encounters with incomplete order items. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > Reports > Crystal Reports. The Report Dialog window opens. To configure the report, do the following: Select Report Setup. The Report Setup Dialog window opens. From Report File, select CPOE Incomplete Items.rpt. From Report Type, select the report type. In the Description box, enter the report description. Select Add. Select Exit. The report description appears under the selected report type in the Report Dialog window. To expand the report type, select the expand icon. Select the report description and select Preview. The Enter Parameter Values window opens. To set the filters for generating the report, do the following: Select the start date and end date. From the Ordering Location list, select the location. Managing Incomplete Orders

When you select an order item, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) displays the order details for your review and also saves the order in the Incomplete Items list. If you close the CPOE window, you can select Incomplete Items to re-open CPOE and resume your saved order. CPOE prefixes the total number of selected items to Incomplete Items and displays the following color representation. indicates that there are no incomplete items for the current encounter. indicates that the current encounter has incomplete items. To view a quick summary of the incomplete orders in the encounter, you can hover over Incomplete Items. Disable Incomplete Orders Notification You can disable the CPOE incomplete orders notification in NextGen® Enterprise EHR in Tools > Preferences.
