From the
File
menu, select
Family Unit
and then
Member History
.
The
Member History
window opens.
The name or alias of the current patient appears at the top.
Select the family unit in the
Family Units
section.
The members of the family unit are listed.
To browse through the patients displayed in the
Members
section, select
Make Current Patient
.
To switch to a different patient, select the name in the Members section, and select
Make Current Patient
.
The application automatically updates the information in the
Member History
window.
Select
OK
.
Note:
If you change patients within the
Member History
window, selecting
OK
changes the current patient to the last selected patient.
To exit without changing the current patient, select
Cancel
.

Member History
Users who do not have View Patient Name permission can view a patient family unit in the Member History window. Information fields for the current patient (Name/Alias, Sex, and Date of Birth) appear at the top of the window. Family Units section: Displays a list of all family units the current patient is a member of and shows the relationship of this patient within each family unit. From the File menu, select Family Unit and then Member History. The Member History window opens. The name or alias of the current patient appears at the top. Select the family unit in the Family Units section. The members of the family unit are listed. To browse through the patients displayed in the Members section, select Make Current Patient. Search for patients by alias names, if you do not have permission to view a patient name. From the File menu, select Family Unit and then Member Search. The Member Search window opens. To search by name or alias: Enter all or part of the patient name or the alias name, and select Search. To search for all patients, select Search without entering a name. The matching names appear. Select the patient name or the alias name in the display pane. The selected name appears in the Name field. Select OK. The chart for the selected patient opens. To search by family unit name: Select the Ellipsis button. The Family Name window opens. Enter the name of a family unit, and select Search. The matching family unit is listed. Assign Patient Aliases
You can assign an alias name to a patient in the database to protect the patients' confidentiality. Users who do not have rights to view a patient name can work with a patient information by using the alias. Consider creating an alias name for all of the patients in your system if most users do not have permission to view patient names. From the File menu, select Family Unit and then Alias Setup. The Alias Setup window opens. Search for the patient to create or change the alias name for. Enter either the last or first name or both names in the Name fields or the alias in the Alias field, and select Search. To display all patients, select Search without entering any information. To start a new search, select Clear and repeat the previous step. To create or edit an alias name, select the patient name in the display window. Double-click the patient name, or select Edit. An edit box appears in the Alias column. Enter an alias name, and select the <ENTER> key on your keyboard. The edited al
