In the Categories tab, Filter settings window, you can set the predefined filters to view your preferred documents and images.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
- Select the Categories tab.
- Select Filter.
The filter settings window opens.
Note: The Time Frame section is set to All option by default.
- Set the required filters from the following options.
- To view documents and images for a specific time interval; under the LAST NUMBER OF DAYS section, select the appropriate option to specify the number of days that you want to view the documents and images for.
- Under SINCE section, do one of the following:
- To view documents and images related to the current location of the patient, select the Last visit to current location option.
- To view documents and images related to the current provider for the patient, select the Last visit with provider option.
Note: When you select Last Visit to Current Location or Last Visit with Provider, other filter options become not available.
- To view documents and images for a specific date range, select the DATE RANGE option, and then select the Start Date and End Date
icons to select the date range. The current date appears by default.
- Under Other section, do the following:
- To view documents and images for a specific provider, select the required provider from the Select Provider list.
- To view documents and images for a specific location, select the required location from the Select Location list.
- To view documents and images for a specific specialty, select the required specialty from the Select Specialty list.
- To view documents and images for a specific program, select the required program from the Select Program list.
- To set the selected filter as the default, select the Save as default view check box.
The selected filter is saved as the user's default display filter.
- To apply the selected filters, select Apply.
The applied filters as well as the documents and images of those filters, appear on the Categories tab.
- To close the filter window without applying the filters, do one of the following:
- Select Cancel.
- Select Reset to Default View, and select Apply.
- To clear the filters, select Clear, or close each filter individually.
The filters are removed, and the
Categories tab
Filter is automatically changed to the default view.
Note: If you have selected the My Categories tab and then applied the filter, the All tab is selected automatically after applying the filter. You can switch from the My Categories tab to All tab if needed.
