No Active Medications Indicator

The No Active Medications check box is selected when the patient in context has no active medications in their chart. When a new medication is prescribed, the check box is automatically cleared. When an active medication is deactivated (either manually or by surpassing the stop date), stopped, or deleted and there are no active medications listed for the patient, the No Active Medications check box is selected again. Inactivate a Medication

When a medication is no longer used you can change its status from Active to Inactive. Make sure the Active option is highlighted so you are viewing active medications in the grid. Select the medication in grid. A check mark appears to the left of the selected medication. Select the Toggle button. The medication status becomes inactive. View Inactive Medications

The Medications section displays the count of active medications. By default, you can view the active medications for a patient. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart window. On Facesheet, select Medications. The list of active medications appears. Medication section Select Active. The filter list opens. Do the following. To view inactive medications, select Inactive. To view the medications that are pending for approval, select Pending. Select Done. The selected medication list opens. Note: If you have not set your NextGen defaults on logon, you can select Filter icon to view the inactive medications, and then turn on Show Inactive Medications. Manage Patient Medications

You can update the medication records, and mark an active medication as inactive. To update a medication record, select the row containing the record in the Medications panel, select Add/Update, and update the necessary details on Medication Module. To mark an active medication as inactive when the patient has discontinued taking the medication, select the row containing the medication record on Medication Module, and then select Stop. Medications

Use the Medications grid to view the patient's active medications. These are pulled from the Medications module. You can reconcile the medications, add new ones, or remove ones that are no longer active. To indicate that medications have been reviewed, select the Reviewed check box. The None check box is automatically selected if no medications are listed. To remove a medication, select it and click Remove. Note: When you click Remove, it instantly removes the selected medication from the grid and changes its status to inactive in the Medications module. Make certain that you have selected the medication that you intend to remove. To add or edit a medication, click Add to open the Medications module. View and Reactivate an Inactive Medication

You can view and restore an inactive medication to the picklist. Select the Inactive option. The grid displays all medication that have been marked as inactive.
