Workflow Toolbar

Workflow toolbar appears at the bottom of each tab. You can perform different functions specific to each tab. The toolbar components change, depending on the selected item. Workflow Module Tabs and Sections

The Workflow module consists of the following tabs and sections: Section Description Navigation tabs Tabs appear at the top of the window to access Clinical Tasking, Appointments, Email, Patient Portal, Provider Approval Queue, and Message Manager View. Some tabs may not appear if the function has not been enabled or configured. An exclamation point indicates that there is new content in the tab. Note: The current tab opens automatically when you access the Workflow module next time. Preview pane Displays the details for each workflow item. Appointments Displays information about the present day appointments for the selected provider. Workflow item details Content in this section is dependent on the workflow item you have selected. Toolbar Contains functions, dependent on the tab and item you have selected. Workflow Icons

The icons and buttons display throughout the Workflow module. Icon Description The cog icon provides menu options and preferences for the current tab. This cog icon is shared across all the Workflow tabs. The red exclamation mark denotes high priority tasks and emails in the Clinical Tasking and Email tabs. Daily Appointments Section

The Today's Appointments section of the Workflow module enables you to view the current date's appointments for one or more selected providers. The Today's Appointments displays the patient's name, scheduled time, reason, room number, and status of the appointment for one or more selected providers. Access the Workflow Module

You can access the Workflow module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Perform one of the following: On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR top toolbar, select either the Inbox or PAQ icon. Note: Accessing the Workflow module from the PAQ icon always displays the PAQ tab, regardless of which tab was opened last. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu, select Work Flow. Module Buttons and Lab Results Link

The tabs on the Workflow module include a set of buttons to view information for or open the Alerts, Allergies, Problems, Diagnoses, Medications, and Appointments modules. The Lab Result link enables you to view lab or radiology test results if they are available for the patient and you have access rights to the Orders module. If there are no test results, the link label displays in black and cannot be selected. The module buttons may appear in a vertical or horizontal format based on the tab selected. The button labels are automatically abbreviated at lower screen resolutions or when you resize the main NextGen® Enterprise EHR window to less than full size. The buttons display the number of items or a question mark for unknown. Hovering over a button with a number displays the corresponding list of items.
