View Appointments for Multiple Resources

You can view appointments for multiple resources at once. Access the Appointments tab. Select the Resources list arrow available at the upper right corner. Select the check box for each resource to view the appointment schedule. The Appointments button displays the count of the appointments, and the appointments list displays the appointments for the selected resources. Create an Appointment

NextGen recommends to create and manage appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM, not in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, if you use NextGen® Enterprise PM as your scheduling source. Appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR are not communicated to NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR only if you have the View by Provider display setting enabled. If you select View by Resource, you cannot create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You may also create an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise EHR if you use a third-party scheduling application instead of NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can create an appointment in the Appointments tab of the Workflow module. You can create a custom status for the appointment. Select a patient. You can view appointments for multiple providers at once. Open the Appointments tab. Select the Providers list available at the upper right corner. Appointments

The Appointments tab of the Workflow module provides access to the daily appointments of the patients for multiple providers in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Appointments show for the selected date on the calendar. The calendar defaults to the current date. Hovering your mouse over a date on the calendar displays information about appointments scheduled for that day. Hovering your mouse over the Appointments button in the Demographics section enables you to view the list of the appointments for the selected patient or task. Appointment information includes the appointment time, room, patient name, subject, reason, status, provider or resource name, and wait time. You may select a specific view to view patient appointments by: Daily Multi-View Timeline Right-clicking an appointment provides the same options as the buttons displayed on the toolbar. View Patient Appointments

Before you begin You must ensure that you have an active license for NextGen® Enterprise PM. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Appointments Quick Button, you can view patients future and past appointments based on configuration. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Appointments.The Appointments table appears displaying the configuration message, the patient's future and recent past appointments and date and time, status, resource or provider, location and reason columns. When the View by Resource is selected in the Inbox module of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the resource column appears in the Appointments table; similarly, when the View by Provider is selected, the provider column appears. Note: The patient's future appointments appear first on the Appointments table, highlighted in bold text, followed by recent past appointments. Appointment Book

The Appointment Book window in NextGen® Enterprise PM provides an overview of the appointment schedule for the various resources and locations within the practice. The appointment book is used to schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments. You can view appointments for: An individual resource for a specific day, week, or month. Multiple resources at the same time for a specific day. To access Appointment Book in NextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select the ApptBook button.
