Print Patient Savings and Education Documents

NextGen Healthcare recommends that the patient receives a printed copy of the patient savings and education documents to ensure medication adherence. When ePrescribing, faxing, or printing a medication that has a savings or education program, you are prompted to print all patient savings and education documents. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Medication module, after accepting a medication with an available program, select Send or Print. The Patient Savings and Education Documents window opens. Patient Savings and Education Documents Note: CureAll is a fictitious medication used for demonstration purposes only. To print the documents, select Print All. The documents print to the printer defined in Tools > Preferences > Medications > Patient Education and Saving Programs. If a printer has not been defined, a window displays the Microsoft® Windows 8 default printer and routes. Patient Savings Programs

NextGen Healthcare has collaborated with business partners to bring the following Patient Savings Programs to the Medications module with the goal of better patient health: eCopay/Coupon provides coupon that reduces the out-of-pocket costs on selected branded prescriptions for eligible patients. The offers appear at point-of-prescribing so that the prescriber can notify the patient about the coupon. The provider can either send the coupon to NextGen® PxP Portal or print the coupon to an in-office printer without disturbing the workflow. ScriptGuides offers patient-tailored educational documents that provide clinically relevant support resources designed to motivate patients to fill prescriptions, thereby increasing adherence. These materials are sent electronically to NextGen® PxP Portal for enrolled patients or printed copy using an in-office printer. Send Individual Topics from Patient Education to NextGen® PxP Portal

You can send a patient education topic to NextGen® PxP Portal. From the File menu, select Patient Education. The Patient Education Browser window opens. Search for a topic. Results matching the search criterion appears. Select the topic to send. Select Send to Patient Portal. A confirmation message opens. Select OK. You can print patient education topics to give to patients. Additionally, you have options to save patient education topics to the encounter and send them to the NextGen® PxP Portal when you print. Open a patient and create a new encounter or select an unlocked one. Open Patient Education Browser. Do one of the following: Browse for a topic and select it. Find a topic by entering search criteria find a topic by entering search criteria. Find a topic with Recommended Search. Add topics to the shopping cart add topics to the shopping cart. Do one of the following: In the Selected Documents list, select the check boxes for the topics you want to print. To select all the documents in the Selected Documents list, select the Print check box. Select Print, and then select one of the following: To print the selected document, select Print. You can send selected patient education documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. You can send patient education documents to NextGen® PxP Portal and save the document to the encounter for the selected patient. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Documents is set to No, then you cannot access Document on the NNextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions to Document in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Set up Patient Portal Trigger

The Patient Portal action launches windows at run time that enable you to: Set up an account for a patient on the NextGen® PxP Portal website. Schedule the future delivery of a message to a patient enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. After a message has been scheduled, you can review and edit or delete it, if necessary. NextGen® PxP Portal is a secure Internet portal that enables patients to communicate with providers, request appointments, request prescription refills, review test results, complete online forms, view documents and statements, and access health reference information.
