Remove Trailing Zeroes

NextGen® Enterprise EHR is compliant with the National Patient Safety Goals of the Joint Commission (JCAHO). If you set the JCAHO Requirements Universal Preference to True, trailing zeroes are removed from all decimal fields on documents created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, 1.0 becomes 1. You can remove trailing zeroes from only specific fields by setting this preference to False and selecting the No Zero Decimals check box under advanced field property options in Template Editor. Edit with Standard Advanced Field Options

Advanced options and tools tips are available for data entry (edit), check box, button, active text, radio button, and data sheet fields. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the tooltip appears when you point to a field or to a particular row on a data sheet. For data sheets, the tooltip references the columns in the data sheet. The actions are enabled only for a saved data entry field on its Data Entry Properties window. You cannot use these actions on the Insert Data Entry window while you are creating a data entry field. Select the Advanced tab on the Insert window or Properties window for the field. Select the applicable options: To enable the data copy from one encounter to another, select the Copy Data Forward check box. All available information is entered into a new template when a new encounter is created. This action is performed on a field-by-field level. Remove a Guideline

You can remove a guideline for a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Define Guideline Reasons & Auto Application panel, and select the guideline from the data grid. Details listed in the grid for the guideline fill in the fields above the grid. Provider Approval Queue

The following lists all the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preferences. Preference Description Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ Limits the minimum refresh value that can be set in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR >Task Preferences, users cannot set the refresh value lesser than the value set in Universal Preferences. If the value set in Universal Preferences is >99, then the minimum value that can be set is 99. The value cannot be changed. Any numerical value is accepted. View Items Across Practices Enables you to view your PAQ items across practices when you are a provider who has access to multiple practices within an enterprise. You must manually set the option to view your PAQ items across practices. The value shows True if the preference is enabled and False if disabled. Reset Patient-Level Care Guidelines Content

You can reset a patient's care guidelines using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All. A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. To remove the care guidelines, expand the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, and then do one the following: Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box. Select the Permanently remove all patient Immunization guideline records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box. Generate a Graph from a Medical Records Template

You can generate a graph for a NextGen® Enterprise EHR Medical Records template associated with a patient encounter. For the graph to display properly, numeric data must exist in the template fields. If fields do not contain data, no data is displayed in the graph. As the graph is being generated, NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays a warning if a field does not contain data. Data can only be added or revised in template fields in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Your system administrator creates and modifies templates using Template Editor.
