Sending Patient Savings and Education Documents to NextGen® PxP Portal
NextGen Healthcare recommends that the patient must receive a copy of the Patient Savings Program and education documents to ensure medication adherence. When a prescriber prescribes (by printing, faxing, or e-prescribing) a medication that qualifies for a Patient Savings Program, the system automatically sends all relevant program and education documents to NextGen® PxP Portal for the enrolled patients. The prescriber can still print the program and education materials for the patient. In the Send Prescription window, the Alerts section displays the message indicating that information about the prescribed medications is available on NextGen® PxP Portal. When you select Send, the prescription is sent to the printer, fax, or pharmacy and the Patient Savings Program documents are sent to NextGen® PxP Portal.
