Modify Browser Internet Security Settings

Internet Explorer removes necessary cookies when its security settings are set too high. When this occurs, users who access the Electronic Prior Authorization window might see unauthorized responses, even when they have used a valid, active authorization token. For example, the system might automatically log you out.

If you encounter such situations, modify the Internet Explorer security settings. These steps cover Internet Explorer 11. Settings for other browsers may differ. Refer to the appropriate documentation for other browsers for similar settings.

  1. In Internet Explorer 11, select Tools > Internet Options > Security tab.
  2. Select Sites, and then add *.surescripts.net and *.surescripts.com as trusted sites.
    Internet Options

  3. If you do not have security access to add trusted sites, you can achieve similar functionality by allowing surescripts.net and surescripts.com site in your privacy settings.
    Internet Properties

  4. If the previous steps have no impact, modify Internet Explorer zone security settings on the Internet Properties > Security tab as follows:
    • Select the Internet zone and set the Security level for this zone to be Medium.
      Internet Options

    • Select the Local Intranet zone and set the Security level for this zone to be Low.
