Make Servers Available or Unavailable
Packages can run only on servers that are designated as available in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. By default, the NextGen® Background Business Processor makes all servers you add to the Server List available. Select the Server List tab in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. Highlight the server in the list and right-click. Select either Make Available or Make Unavailable from the shortcut menu. Note: Another way to set availability for a server is to select or clear the Available? check box on the Server Properties window.

Configure Servers for NextGen® Background Business Processor
You must select a server for NextGen® Background Business Processor to use when it performs automated NextGen® Enterprise PM processes. To create a server that is eligible for NextGen® Background Business Processor to use, install the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine service on it. On the Server List tab, the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager lists each server on the network on which the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service exists. The Server List provides the following information for each NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service installation: The domain and server name for the server on which the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service is installed If the service is available If the service is running The last time the service was started and stopped The total duration of the package that it had run last The server capacity percentage A Gantt chart of each package based on the time The package server schedule An op

Uninstall the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service
Log into the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager on the system that is running the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service. Select the Uninstall Engine Service option from the Engine menu located on the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager main toolbar. The NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager asks you to confirm the removal. Select Yes. Note: The entry for the server no longer appears in the Server List on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main window or in the list on the Servers tab of the Package Properties window.

Remove a Server from the Server List
There are two ways to remove a server from the Server List: Uninstall the NextGen® Background Business Processor Service Engine from the server. Delete the server in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you remove a server from the Server List by uninstalling the NextGen® Background Business Processor Service engine from the server. You should delete a server only when the server has been physically disconnected from the network before the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service was uninstalled. If the server is still part of your network, but you want to remove the server from the NextGen® Background Business Processor Server List, uninstall the NextGen® Background Business Processor Engine Service on the server. Select the Server List tab in the NextGen® Background Business Processor Manager. Highlight the server in the list and right-click. Select Delete from the shortcut menu. Select OK on the warning message. Select Y
