Update NextGen Documents Associated with Clinical Notes
- To update a configured NextGen Document, select the record that you want to edit in the Clinical Note Mapping panel.

Open the Document Mapping system template. In the Clinical Note Mapping panel, to remove a NextGen Document record, select the record from the grid. Click Remove. The record is deleted and removed from the grid. Click Save & Close. Note: All fields in the selected record are available for edit. You cannot update the type of the document, for example, you cannot change Document Management to NextGen Documents or Crystal Reports. If you try to change the type of the document, then all fields are cleared and Document Management record is not available for an update. Make the desired changes. Click Update. Note: All fields in the selected record are available for edit. You cannot update the type of the document, for example, you cannot change Crystal Reports to NextGen Documents or Document Management. If you try to change the type of the document, then all fields are cleared and Crystal Report record is not available for an update. Make the desired changes. Click Update. The grid displays the changes made. Click Save & Close. In the Clinical Note Mapping panel, you can associate NextGen Documents with a particular clinical note. The configurable NextGen Documents are listed in the document list. Open the Document Mapping system template. In the Clinical Note Mapping panel, select NextGen Documents. To select a document, do the following. Click the Document Name arrow. The Document List window opens. Select the desired NextGen Document. Click OK. To select a visit type, do the following. Click the Visit Type (optional) arrow. The Visit Type window opens. Select the desired visit type. Click OK. To associate a clinical note, do the following: Click the Document LOINC Type arrow. The LOINC Type window opens. Select the desired Document LOINC Type. Click OK. The corresponding LOINC code appears in the LOINC field. In the Comments field, provide the reason for associating a NextGen Document with a LOINC code.
