EM Psychotherapy Data Set

The EM Psychotherapy data set enables you to configure CPT code combinations (that is, the visit code and the psychotherapy with E&M code) to trigger the need for the documentation of psychotherapy time value. For the Behavioral Health specialty, on the Psychotherapy - Individual with E&M visit framework template set, select 90833, 90836, or 90838 psychotherapy with E&M codes after calculating the Visit Code on the Finalize template. If you forget to enter separate time for the psychotherapy counseling, then an alert message displays after you click Submit Code. The alert message informs you to enter the Psychotherapy time into the corresponding field. Note: To display the alert message, you must configure both the visit code and psychotherapy with E&M code in the Data Sets Setup practice template. In the run-time template, if both the visit code and the psychotherapy with E&M code are available on the Finalize template, you are required to add a psychotherapy time counseled in Psychot

View Run-Time Result of Adding PT Modifier 59 Data Set Items

Before you view the result in the run-time template, ensure that the Enable automatically applying 59 modifier check box is selected in the PT section on the Practice Configuration template. In the run-time Intake template, select Specialty as Physical Therapy and Visit Type as Physical Therapy Treatment. Click the Finalize tab. In the Procedures panel, click one of the active text links. The respective template opens. Enter details to retrieve data for the primary service or procedure that is configured using the PT Modifier 59 data set and then click Save & Close. The service or procedure, CPT code, and the documented details are displayed in the first row. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to retrieve data for the secondary service or procedure that is configured using the PT Modifier 59 data set. The service or procedure, CPT code, and the documented details are displayed in the second row. Click Verify Coding. The 59 modifier is automatically added adjacent to the second CPT code. Add PT Modifier 59 Data Set Items

On the Data Sets Setup template, click Data Set and select PT Modifier 59. The existing data set items associated with the PT Modifier 59 data set appear in the grid. PT Modifier 59 data set Click Add. The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, click Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, click Provider and select a provider from Dbp Rendering Provider. In Code1, enter the CPT code for the first procedure. In Code2, enter the CPT code for the second procedure. In Modifier, enter the modifier as 59. Note: To bill the secondary service or the procedure that is not a part of the primary service or procedure, the modifier 59 is added. In Code Match 1, enter the primary code with which the modifier 59 is attached and sent for billing. In Code Match 2, enter the secondary code with which the modifier 59 is attached and sent for billing. Click Save, a

Edit PT Modifier 59 Data Set Items

On the Data Sets Setup template, click Data Set and select PT Modifier 59. The existing data set items associated with the PT Modifier 59 data set appear in the grid. Highlight a grid to modify.
