Provider and Technician Review

Provider reviewed and Tech reviewed check boxes are found at the top of each of the tabbed templates in the older Ophthalmology 10-tab template set. These check boxes are used by the technician and the provider to indicate that they have reviewed and completed each template.

In the Provider and Tech review section on the Eye Configuration practice template, the Hide check box allows these check boxes to be hidden, so that they do not appear on the tabs. By default, this setting is not selected, and sign-off boxes appear on the tabs.

Templates that have not been reviewed display a bright red circle with a white “ x ” on it, alerting users that a review needs to be completed.

When the Tech reviewed check box is selected before the Provider reviewed, a check mark in a white box appears on the tab. The name of the logged in user appears in the Tech reviewed fields along with a current system date and time stamp when the check box is selected.

On the Tech Exam tab seen below, the technician has indicated that the template has been reviewed. The other templates in the tabbed Office Visit have not been reviewed.

Whenever the Provider reviewed check box is selected, the box on the tab stops being displayed, even when the Tech reviewed is selected after the Provider reviewed. The name of the logged in provider appears in the Provider reviewed fields along with a current system date and time stamp when the check box is selected.

Below, the Provider reviewed check box has now been selected on the Tech Exam tab, and the review icon changes so that it no longer appears on the tab. None of the other templates have been reviewed.
