Place Orders through Quick Entry
From the obstetric group of panels, you can select and order a test.
Open
NextGen® Enterprise EHR
.
Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter.
On the
Intake
template, and then select the specialty as
Obstetrics
and visit type as
OB Prenatal
.
Open the
Prenatal Details
template and expand the respective obstetric group panel.
Double-click the test name in the grid.
The
Historical Test - Quick Entry
template with the selected test name opens.
Select the
Test Description
from the left pane.
The test description and test code appear on the right pane.
Select a date in the
Date done
field.
Enter the
Interpretation
and
Results
details.
To view scanned reports, select the
See Scanned report
check box.
In the
Results
field, scanned report text appears.
To save the details, select
OK
.

Place Obstetric Lab Orders
The Obtained Interval range is available based on the prenatal details available on the Gestational Age template template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel. The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appears in the grid. Note: The Obtained Interval date range is based on the details of the Gestational Age template. Initial Orders To order a test through the Historical Test - Quick Entry template, double-click the test name. For the D(rh) test, if the result is negative, the result appears in red color. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark

Review Optional Orders
You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel. The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Optional Orders Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. Review Fetal Chromosomal Testing
You can place orders for the tests in the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel. The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the 24-28 Week Orders panel. The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appears in the grid. This date range is based on the details mentioned on the Gestational Age template. 24-28 Week Orders Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template.
