You can document Autism screening in toddlers. You can document pediatrics screening for Autism in the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) screening tool. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Screening panel, click Child Development History. The Child Dev. Rec template opens. Click the Details link associated with the MCHAT (c) label. The Peds Mchat template opens. Enter the details and select the appropriate option for each screening question. Click OK. The documented M-CHAT data appear in the Screening Tool Results grid. The color of the Details link changes to indicate the information is documented and the Last done field displays the date of the survey. You can document the pediatric revised screening for autism and provide scores to assess the risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the M-CHAT-R screening tool. . You can submit the code to billing. The screening tool includes the billing-related fields to submit the code to Superbill. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. Document Child Development Milestones

You can document the details of the child's developmental milestones on the Child Development Record template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Screening pane, click Child Development History. The Child Dev. Rec template opens. To document a developmental milestone of the child, do the following: Click the Details link on the age group matching the child's current age. The PEDS Child Dev [Age] template opens. Indicate if the child passed or failed to achieve the milestones. Enter any comments provided by the historian for any milestone. Note: To clear all the selections made on the template, you can click Clear All. You can select the Pass All check box if the patient achieves all the milestones. Click Save & close. The total pass score, fail score, and indicator displaying the status of the survey appear in the age group where the developmental milestones are documented. You can identify cognitive, emotional, and behavioral problems in children aged four and above. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Screening panel, click the Child Development History button. The Child Dev. Rec template opens. Click the Detail link in the PSC section. The Pediatrics Symptom Checklist (PSC) template opens. Enter the details and select the appropriate option for each screening question. To generate score, click Calculate. Pediatrics Symptom Checklist (PSC) Click Save & Close. Document SWYC Developmental Milestones

You can document the Survey of Wellbeing of Children (SWYC)™ developmental milestones for children less than 5 years of age on the SWYC Milestone Full View template. The SWYC developmental milestones are not configurable. You can also add an assessment and submit a procedure code to the Superbill on the SWYC Milestone Full View template, if required. Child Development Milestones

You can document the details for the developmental milestones achieved by children to assess their development. You can open the Child Development Record template through Child Development History on the Screening pane of the Pediatric SOAP template. The template includes 12 distinct age groups that contain up to 17 milestones. You can configure the age groups and milestones on the Peds Development Definitions practice template. When you select a different version of development guidelines, an message appears indicating that changing the questions for the existing milestones, changes the available questions and answers for the patient that must be documented for the encounters. Note: You must configure the SWYC Milestone Full View template on the Practice Configuration template to document a child's development history.
