Copy Physical Exam Findings from Previous Encounters
You can copy physical exam findings from previous encounters of a patient to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theSOAPtemplate, and then expand thePhysical Exampanel. Select Physical Exam History. The Historical Information window opens. Note: The records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Practice Configuration Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria inFilter by, and then selectSearch. Note: If the records are displayed from any sensitive encounter, an asterisk (*) appears on the record in theSensitivecolumn to help you decide whether to copy such records and update the current encounter as sensitive. Copy the Current Configurations
You can copy the current configurations to another specialty, practice, or provider using the copy button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. To copy your preferences on the Framework Content system template, select the Specialty, Practice, or Provider. In the Copy To section, enter any or all of the following: Specialty Practice Provider Copy To To duplicate the setup preferences, click the Copy button. Open the Practice Configuration Template
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All . A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and then click OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. View System and Practice Templates
System and Practice templates store any necessary information without relation to either a patient or an encounter. Do one of the following: From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Menu bar, select File, and then select System\Practice Template. If available, execute a template field trigger for selecting System and Practice templates. The Select Template window opens. To open templates of that type, select the System (default) or Practice tab. In the Show section, select one of the following options: All. All of the available system or practice templates. Preferred. Only your user-defined, preferred list of templates. Yo can use the Templates Preferences feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR to define the list of preferred templates. Categories. Open the Specialty Configuration Home
You can open the specialty configuration homepage using the file menu. Open the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. From the File menu, select System / Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Note: By default, the System tab is selected, and preferred templates are displayed on the Select Template window. If the *Specialty Config Home option is not displayed in the preferred templates list, select All in the Show section. All system templates are displayed. Practice Configuration
template.
Optional:
In the
Copy Previous Visit Information
section, update the default duration of the historical information.
To copy the historical physical exams, review of systems, reasons for visit, or assessments, select the respective checkbox.
Note:
If you clear a checkbox, you can only view the historical information from previous encounters.
To display a label on the templates or documents, indicating that the information is copied from previous encounters, select the respective checkbox.
Select
Save and Close
