Enter the Prick/ID/Challenge Results

The Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel enables providers to review and enter results for the patient's Prick, ID, and Challenge tests. You can enter the Challenge test results in the Challenge Tests panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Testing - Allergy template, expand the Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel. Review the Results grid. Select the appropriate Test type. The ordered allergens appear in the Results section. Note: NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays the first group of 20. To view each subsequent group of tests, select one of the following group links: Orders 21-40 Orders 41-60 Orders 61-80 Orders 81-100 Orders 101-120 CAUTION: NextGen® Enterprise EHR clears the fields when you select another group of tests. If you enter any data for a current group of allergens, you must save that data before displaying the next group of tests. Record the following, as appropriate: Wheal (mm) Flare (mm) Record the Reactions on a scale of 0 - 4+ for each test. If you select 0, NextGen® Enterprise E

Record Allergen Specific IgE Test Results

You can review and enter Allergen Specific IgE test results in the Orders panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP - Allergy template, expand the Orders panel, and then select Labs. The ordered tests display in the grid. Select the ordered test from the grid, and then select Edit. The Orders Edit template opens. In the Result/report section, do the following: Select Completed after you have evaluated the test values. Select the On field, and select the test evaluation date. Discharge the Patient after Challenge Testing

You need to discharge the patient after Challenge testing and sign off. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Testing - Allergy template, expand the Challenge Tests panel. If the patient received additional instructions, select Patient given instructions. If the patient understood the instructions, select Patient indicated instructions were understood. If the patient is discharged without and adverse effects, select Patient discharge home with no adverse effects. To fill the field with the current user's details, select the Discharged by field. Sign Off on Challenge Tests

You need to sign off the encounter after the completion of Challenge Tests. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Testing - Allergy template, expand the Challenge Tests panel. Enter additional information in the Comments field. Select the Physician sign off check box. NextGen® Enterprise EHR fills the associated field with the current user's information and the Date and Time fields with the current date and time. Save the template. Provider Workflow for Allergy Testing

You can review the patient's medical summary details on the Home Page template and then proceed to the SOAP and Finalize templates. The provider workflow for allergy testing typically involves: Reviewing the data documented by the intake staff to obtain an overview of the patient's condition as well as updating and providing additional information as needed. Evaluating and interpreting the allergy tests performed. Place additional orders, as needed. Finalize the patient visit. Allergy Testing Workflow

You can test and document a patient's asthma related issues on the Testing - Allergy template. You can perform and document the results of allergy testing for the Testing Only visit type. You can use the Testing - Allergy template for the following tests: Prick test ID test Challenge test Allergen Specific IgE test Begin a Testing Only Visit You can use the Testing Only visit type for patients allergy testing only. Prick/ID/Challenge Test Panel You can document the test result in the Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel on the Testing - Allergy template. Challenge Tests Panel You can use the Challenge Tests panel to enter the administration and other test data for previously ordered challenge tests.
