Add an Interface Details
On the
Practice Configuration
template, scroll to the
Interface
section.
Right-click the grid and select
Add New
.
The
Interface Configuration
template opens.
In
Interface
, enter the name of the interface.
In
Interface executable path
, enter the path where the executable file (.exe) of the interface is located.
In
Interface executable file
, enter the exact name of the interface executable file (.exe file).
In
Command
, enter the required command line parameters to pass information to the interface.
Select the
Enabled
check box when the interface is active or in use.
Click
Save
.
Click
Close
.
The interface details display in the Interface grid.

Modify an Interface Details
On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, double-click a row to be edited. The Interface Configuration template opens. Make relevant edits in the applicable fields. Click Save. Click Close. The modified data updates in the grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Remove an Interface Details
On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, select the row to be deleted. Right-click and select Delete. The selected row deletes from the grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Interfaces
The configuration in the Interfaces section is applicable for the practices having the NextGen Healthcare interfaces installed in their workstation. The Interfaces section allows you to add interface information installed in your workstation, and use the interface in your workflow. Access the Practice Configuration Template
Click the File menu and select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All to see a complete list of practice templates. To access the Practice Configuration template, do one of the following: Double-click Practice Configuration. Select Practice Configuration and click OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. Add a New Procedure Type
Click Procedure name and select a procedure from the list. The list includes the procedure names available in the grid. To add a new procedure, click Cancel on the list and enter a new procedure in the Procedure name field. Click Site and select a procedure site from the list. The list includes the procedure sites available in the grid. To add a new procedure site, click Cancel on the list and enter a new procedure site in the Site field. For Status, select Active or Inactive. In run time, only the active procedures are available for selection in the Procedure panel. Click Add. The new procedure appears in the grid. Configure Sensitive Encounters
You can configure a sensitive encounter for specific data elements for a patient using the Sensitive Information Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. In the Sensitive Encounters section, select Configure Sensitive Encounter. The Sensitive Encounter Configuration template opens. configuring_sensitive_encounter In Location and Code System, select the value from the list. Enter the description and any additional information for the selected record, and then select Add. The record is added in the data grid. Optional: To import the sensitive codes from Data Share Module (DSM), select Import. The DSM Ind column in the data grid indicates whether the code is imported. Select Save and Close.
