Smoking Status
The different options available in the Smoking status field enables you to indicate the tobacco use of the patient on the Social History - Tobacco template.
| Smoking Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Current every day smoker | A patient who smokes daily. |
| Current some day smoker | A patient who occasionally smokes. |
| Former smoker | A patient who is an ex-smoker. |
| Never smoker | A patient who has never smoked. |
| Smoker, current status unknown | A patient whose smoking consumption is not known. |
| Unknown if ever smoked | A patient who is currently a non-smoker, but the past smoking status is not known. |
| Heavy tobacco smoker | A patient who smokes more than 10 cigarettes (or cigarillo, cigar or pipes equivalent) per day. |
| Light tobacco smoker | A patient who smokes less than 10 cigarettes (or cigarillo, cigar or pipes equivalent) per day. |
