Patient's Summary Review for Physical Therapy by the Intake Staff

The information documented by the intake staff in the Intake and Histories templates during the previous patient encounters is reflected on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template for the provider's review. Most clinical staffs start on the Intake template. The recommended workflow for Physical Therapy is to begin a patient encounter on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. If you have previously set up the Home Page - Physical Therapy template as the default template, it automatically opens as the first template for a new encounter. General Physical Therapy Workflow

The Physical Therapy tabbed template set presents a general workflow for documenting the patient history, physical therapy orders, physical exam, goals, and treatment for physical therapy encounters. Patient's Summary Review for Physical Therapy by the Intake Staff If required, the intake staff can review the patient's historical information documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. Access Home Page - Physical Therapy You can use the Templates module to access the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. Adding and Reviewing Allergies You can add and review the allergy details associated with a patient in the Allergies panel. Configuration Options

Review the configuration options and decide what you need to implement to enable you to complete the workflows outlined here. You can configure the following practice templates for the Physical Therapy specialty: Physical Therapy Goal Administration: Enables you to edit or add new existing physical therapy goals. Practice Configuration: Enables you to enter expected treatment times by visit type. In addition, you have options for applying billing modifiers. The ability to use the third-party service provided by Physiotec directly from within the Physical Therapy template set also needs to be configured before using the templates. Physical Therapy Home Page Template Details

The practice can customize the panels displayed on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. The following table describes the panels on the template. Panel Description Diagnosis Lists all the assessments to be included in orders and billing. You can view billing assessments for the current encounter, including ICD codes. Goals Displays patient's therapy goals documented by the provider in the Therapy Goals template. Treatment History Displays the treatment history details related to the patient. Historical PE Displays the Historical PE details. Treatment Log Displays the patient's treatment details by encounter. Lists the patient's encounter diagnosis, treating assessments, and a history of treatments in a flowsheet format, organized by the encounter date. Allergies Lists the allergies associated with a patient. Medications Lists the patient's current medications. Review of Summary of Allergies by Providers

A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient's information documented during the previous patient encounters, on the Home Page template for the Allergy and Immunology specialty. The information documented by the nursing staff on the Intake template is displayed on the Home Page template for the provider's review. You can update the information on the Intake and SOAP templates.
