Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Pre-procedure Evaluation panel allows you to view and add patient's physical exam findings and generate the ASC Chart Note document after review and signoff. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. Add a Reason on the Reason for Visit Panel

In the Reason for Visit panel, select a reason (if available) in the grid to open the HPI template or select a reason from the left pane to open the corresponding HPI template. Note: The Reason for Visit options are dependent on the specialty selected. Enter the appropriate data in the template. Enter any comments. Select Save & Close.The data appears in a concatenated paragraph format under the History of Present Illness column in the Reason for Visit panel grid. Reason for Visit The Intake Comments link includes comments that the Intake staff might have entered in the Intake tab. If the comments are documented, the link changes color. The Comments button opens the HOPI Notes template to add any additional comments on the selected chief complaints. Ambulatory Surgery Home Page and Common Templates Ambulatory Surgery Home Page and Common Templates You can document the details of the procedure performed on the patient in the ASC using the framework template sets in the Ambulatory Surgery specialty. The Ambulatory Surgery specialty content allows documentation of procedure details performed on the patient in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The ASCs have patients referred by the primary care physicians to perform procedures related to a specific problem or an illness found through a diagnostic analysis. The Ambulatory Surgery specialty includes the following visit types: Procedure Preadmission Procedure Procedure Post Discharge Virtual Visit Telephone Virtual Visit Video Note: Virtual visits use the same template set as the Procedure Preadmission visit type. Document a Physical Exam

The Physical Exam panel includes a list of exam categories in the left pane. The categories in the left pane are customizable by specialty or by provider on the Framework Content system template. For more information on the Framework Content system template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Framework Content System Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. When you select the Physical Exam History button, the Historical Information window opens. You can copy the previous physical exam records to the current encounter by using the Copy Physical Exam & Close button. Select the One Page Exam link from the left pane.The applicable exam template opens. Note: The resulting window is dependent on the specialty selected. Enter any pertinent exam details. Select Quick Save to save the documented findings as the default set for the next subsequent encounters.
