Progress Panel

You can monitor the progress of nursing care plans by reviewing the interventions in the Progress panel. The panel lists all intervention encounters, but you can filter the list to show only those encounters specific to an identified problem, a defined goal and an intervention type. Complete an Intervention

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. When the goal of an intervention has been achieved, you can complete the intervention. Completing the intervention removes it from the Interventions grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Plan/Intervention tab, expand the Interventions panel. Select an entry on the Interdisciplinary Team Member column.The system displays the interventions designated for the selected team member type in the grid. Select the intervention that you want to update and select Edit.The Nursing Care Plan Data template appears. The template is populated with the data for the selected intervention. Select the Intervention complete option. Change any other enabled fields as needed. Select Save & Close.The intervention is completed and removed from the intervention panel. Update an Intervention

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. The interventions appear only if they are added in the Nursing Care Plan Data template in the History panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Plan/Intervention tab, expand the Interventions panel. Select an appropriate entry from the Interdisciplinary Team Member column.The system displays the interventions designated for the selected team member type. Interventions Select the intervention that you want to update and select Add.The Nursing Care Plan Data template opens. The template is populated with the data for the selected intervention. Remove a Goal Intervention

You can remove an intervention from the current encounter without restriction. You can also remove interventions from prior encounters, but you cannot remove an intervention from an earlier encounter if outcome data has been entered for that intervention during a subsequent encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Select the goal in the left grid that has an intervention to be removed. The system fills the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Select the intervention to be removed. Select Remove. Remove an Intervention Outcome

You can remove an outcome only in the encounter where the latest outcome was documented for that intervention. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the patient encounter where the latest outcome for the intervention was documented. Open to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Select the goal you what to remove an intervention outcome.The system fills the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Select the Intervention tab.The full Intervention tab appears with the previously entered interventions in the grid. Select the intervention with an outcome to be removed. Select the Outcomes tab.The full Outcomes tab appears with the data for the selected intervention. Select the outcome to be removed from the grid. Select Remove.The system removes the outcome. Update a Goal Intervention

If no outcome has been entered, you can update all Intervention data fields for the current encounter. If an Outcome has been entered, you cannot update the Category field and the related data field. If updating interventions entered during earlier encounters, you may only be able to update some of the fields. You receive an alert to that effect. To update those fields, you must return to the earlier encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Select the goal you what to update an intervention. The system fills the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Select the Intervention tab. The full Intervention tab appears with the previously entered interventions in the grid. Select the intervention to be updated. Make any necessary changes to the data fields. Select Update.
