After completing the intake staff and provider workflow, the front office staff initiates and completes the patient checkout process on the Checkout template to do the following: Review and/or process all orders. Generate lab and/or radiology requisitions, if needed. Generate referral documents, if needed. Schedule future appointments as ordered. Generate the Patient Plan and Checkout documents, if needed. Viewing Template Links on the Checkout Template You can customize the links to meet your needs on the Checkout template. Open the Follow-up or Disposition Template You can document the follow-up details for a patient using the Follow-up/Disposition template. You can document patient encounters for a family practice visit. You can document the Family Practice office and virtual visits on the following templates: Intake Histories SOAP Finalize Checkout Using the Intake and Histories templates, a nurse or medical assistant can document the reasons for visit, medications, allergies, social histories, and so on.
