You can document the vital signs of a patient from the Vital Signs panel of the Intake - Cardiology template.
 
  The vital signs template is based on a patient's age. For an adult patient, the template is Adult Vital Signs. For a patient who is younger than two years of age, the template is Pediatric Under 2 Years Vital Signs. For a patient who is two years or older, the template is Pediatric Over 2 Years Vital Signs.
 
 
  - Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 
  - Open the Intake - Cardiology template and click the Vital Signs panel.
 
  - Select Add.
   
    The vital signs template opens depending on the age of the patient.
   
 
  - Enter the following details on the vital signs template.
   
    
     - Height/length measurements
 
     - Weight measurement
 
     - Temperature
 
     - Blood Pressure and pulse
 
     - Respiration and Pulse Ox
 
     - Peak flow
 
     - Pain level
 
     - BMI/BSA calculation
 
    
     
  - For a female patient, enter the Last Menstrual Period (LMP) details.
 
  - To indicate that certain vital signs are unobtainable, select the Unobtainable checkbox, and select an option from the list that appears.
   
    The corresponding field gets disabled.
   
 
  - To indicate that the patient refused to provide certain vital signs, select the Patient Refused checkbox, and select an option from the list that appears.
   
    The corresponding field gets disabled.
   
 
  - Enter your comments in the Comments section.
 
  - Select Save and then click Close.
