Access the Equipment Log Practice Template

From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. In Select Template, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All. A list of practice templates opens. Select Equipment Log. Click OK. The Equipment Log practice template opens. To configure specialty-specific equipment, click Specialty and select a specialty from the list. To configure equipment for a specific practice, click Location and select a location from the list. The Clear button clears the value from the Location field. In run time, when you select a location in the Generalpanel, the equipment details set up for the selected location appear on the ASC Equipment template. Parent topic: Configure Equipment Details

Configure Equipment Types

In the Categories panel, you can add equipment to be used during procedures, and associate multiple categories such as model, manufacturer, ID Type, and so on to provide more details on the equipment. Configure Equipment Details

In the Equipment Log panel, you can add a description for equipment based on the selected category. The Equipment Log panel includes the buttons described in the table. Previous Level - Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for a Description. The button is unavailable if you are at the first level of the description. You need to highlight a row in the grid and click the Previous Level button to view the previous level of the description. Next Level - Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for a Description. The button is unavailable if you access the last level of the description. You need to select a row in the grid and click the Next Level button to view the next level of the description. Configure Inventory for an Equipment

In the Inventory panel, you can group the individual pieces of equipment with the associated description that are tagged for inventory reference in the Category panel. In run time, when a category and description that are associated with a piece of equipment in the Inventory panel are selected, the system auto-selects the other characteristics for that piece of equipment. For example, if you select a scope as the equipment type, select a serial number as the category, and then the value 123456, the system will find the inventory grid for the scope with serial number 123456. The system also finds that the Manufacturer for the scope with the serial number 123456 and the associated model number. In run time, the system auto-selects the Manufacturer as XYZ and model number as xxx-xxx. Note: : You need to select the Inventory reference check box for the equipment and associated category in the Categories panel. As you select a value from the left panes or right grid, an asterisk (*) appears

Sorting Equipment Details

The equipment types, categories, and descriptions in the run-time ASC Equipment template are in the same order as in the Equipment Log panel in the Equipment Log practice template. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Equipment Log panel. Select an equipment type in the first left pane. Click or down arrow below the first left pane.
