Automation of Matching Contradictions

A stored procedure is used to automate the matching of contradictions. The stored procedure deals with three scenarios: One-to-one matches One-to-many matches: multiple values appear in the Contradictions column of the Findings and contradictions grid Many-to-many on Captions with sub-menus: many-to-many matches where sub-menu items are available on the Dynamic HPI Config template. The top parameter is a group 2 picklist popup with no Finding. Group 2 picklist popup On Dynamic HPI Config, the contradictory list values appear in the Caption and Finding fields. Create One-to-One Matches for Contradictory Terms

On the Dynamic HPI Config template, click the down arrow to select a value in the Reason field. The information appears in the Specialty field. Highlight a row under Sections to fill the Findings section with the associated data. In the Finding section, click the Contradictions setup link. Remove Matched Contradictions

A stored procedure is used to process the deletion/removal of the matched contradictions. The store procedure deals with all three of matching scenarios. On the Dynamic HPI Config practice template, navigate to the Findings section. Click Contradictions setup to open the Dynamic HPI Contradiction Config template. Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config Practice Template

The Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config template is designed to prevent you from selecting clinically contradictory terms in the same section or sub-section of a dynamic HPI. For example, you would not want to document a Quality of Mass as tender and non-tender in the same patient encounter. By making these values mutually exclusive, the system prevents the user from accidentally selecting the opposing terminology simultaneously. Any practice can use the Dynamic HPI Contradictions Config template to manually create new, mutually exclusive selections, and modify or remove existing pairs. Contradictions can also be matched automatically by selecting the Automatically match similar contradictions link. The practice template contains two grids: Findings and contradictions: Lists content items and their contradictions within a specific section or sub-section. Remove One to Many Matched Contradictions

On the Dynamic HPI Config practice template, navigate to the Findings section. Click Contradictions setup to open the Dynamic HPI Contradiction Config template. Select the desired row in the grid for Findings and contradictions. Click Remove Contradiction. Select the contradiction to be deleted from the list. Select the contradiction to be deleted from Findings and Contradictions Click OK. The selected value no longer appears on that row in the grid. Only Match Contradictions for the Selected Finding

You can manually match the contradictions when the Only create or remove for selected item check box is selected. On the Dynamic HPI Config template, in the Findings and contradictions grid, select Only create or remove for selected item. Highlight the row in the grid for Findings and contradictions. Select the appropriate contradiction row from the Findings grid on the right. A match is applied only to that row. No other data is modified.
