Data Sets Setup
template

Medication Billing
from the resulting list and then select
OK.
The existing data set items associated with the
Medication Billing
data set appear in the grid.

Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record]
template opens.
Select
Category
and select the category for the medication.
If applicable, select
Type
and enter the type of category.
The value entered is used to designate the type of intraocular injection.

J Code
, and on the
Select Procedure
window, search for to select the desired medication and then select
OK
.
Selecting the mediation automatically populates
J Code
with the associated J Code and vice-versa.
Note:
You must enter values in both
Med
and
J Code
for the correct submission of charges.
Select
Proc Code
, search for to select the desired procedure code and then select
OK
.
The value entered in
Proc Code
is used to identify the procedure code billed with intraocular injection.
Select
Amount
and enter the amount of medication on the numeric keypad.
Select
Unit
and select the measured units.
The entry made in
Amount
and
Unit
is used to calculate the correct billing units to submit for billing.
If applicable, enter the volume of medication in
Volume
.
If required, select
Billing Units
, and then enter the unit on the numeric keypad.
The volume and billing units are used based on the drug. If you have another set of medication, select
Combo Med
and repeat steps 3 to 10.
Select
Save
, and then select
Close
.
The newly configured data set item appears in the
Data Sets Setup
template.
Note:
To add another item, select
Clear For Add
in the
Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record]
template and repeat steps 1 and 2.

Edit Medication Billing Data Set Items
On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set, select Medication Billing from the resulting list and then select OK.The existing data set items associated with the Medication Billing data set appear in the grid. Select the Qualifier field and select the required data set item from the resulting list. Highlight the required row in the grid to modify and select Update.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Make the necessary changes in the applicable fields. Add Test Code Data Set Items
On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select Test Codes.The existing data set items associated with the Test Codes data set appear in the grid. Test Codes data set Select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup Select Test and select a name that the code or description will be mapped to from the picklist. The picklist displays the list of all test names currently available in the system. The name is used by the practice to identify an order, patient procedure, or lab. Select OK. Note: To enter a test name that is not listed, select the blank line that displays in the picklist and select OK. Type the name in the Test field. Enter one of the following: Codes - Enter the code to be mapped to. The entered code is used by the reference lab or outside study/procedure location to identify the test at their location for ordering or billing purposes. Map HCPCS Codes to Nebulization Solution
On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select Nebulizer Treatment.The existing data set items associated with the Nebulizer Treatment data set appear in the grid. Nebulizer Treatment data set Select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, select Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis.The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, select Provider and select a provider from Dbp Rendering Provider. In List Item, enter the solution name to be used in the nebulizer. In Qualifier 2, enter the amount of the nebulized solution to be used. In HCPCS, enter the procedure code. In Units, enter the number of units of the nebulized solution. In Rounding, enter a value that is used to calculate the number of units to submit with the J code for the nebulizer procedure. Remove Medication Billing Data Set Items
On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set, select Medication Billing from the resulting list and then select OK. Select the Qualifier field and select the required data set item from the resulting list. Joint Injection Data Set Item
The Joint Injection data set item holds data for medication documentation and billing on the Joint Aspiration/Injection template. This data set is used to configure medications and billing units at the practice level. Adding or modifying entries in this list will affect the medication picklist on the Joint Injection/Aspiration procedure template. Medication Billing Data Set
The Medication Billing data set enables you to configure medical J codes for the Intraocular Injection and Joint Injection data set items (categories). The picklist is customizable at the practice level. You can add, modify, or delete items for medication billing.
