Configure Practice-Specific Anticipatory Guidance Content
The existing Bright Futures Fourtth edition content is read-only. You can add up to three customized guidance selections that are more detailed than what is available in the Fourth edition. It is recommended that you use the practice-configured fields for the most frequent selections for any age grouping. Use the Filter options above the grid to view the existing descriptions for the age group and section to which you would like to add practice entries. On the Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup template, Peds Anticipatory Guidance panel, click the Age Group field, to select the age value. Click the Section field to select from the available entries for the chosen age group. Click the Description field to enter the name of the new element for the chosen Section. Note: The Reference, Developer and Funding Source are available to use, however, they are not required for practice-level entries. If you enter a Reference, the Reference Updated field automatically fills in with the current date.

Modify the Template Link in Peds Plan
You can change the My Plan link to open a different template and give it a link label that is suitable for your practice. On the Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup template, Peds Anticipatory Guidance panel, Age Group field, click to select the age group. In the Custom Link Setup section, click Clear, and then enter a Caption that reflects the name of the template to be available on the Peds Plan template. Click the blue arrow to open the Templates window, and then select a different template to open in runtime. Click Save in the top toolbar. Parent topic: Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup

Configure Other Anticipatory List Selections
Use the Peds Plan Other DB Picklist panel to set up practice-level, anticipatory guidance entries for the Other field on the Peds Plan template. Use the Other list for selections that are not used as much as the three similar entries that can be configured to appear directly on the Peds Plan template. On the Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup template, Peds Plan Other DB Picklist panel, use the Filter options above the grid to view the existing descriptions for the age group and section to which you want to add the practice entries. Click the Age Group field to select the age group in which you want to create Other field list items. Click the Section field to select the available entries for the chosen age group. Click the Description field to enter the name of the new Other list selection for the selected Section. Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup
The Peds Plan runtime template displays a single, Bright Futures Fourth Edition age group with unique content that automatically fetched based on the patient's age. On the Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup practice template, you can configure some options for each age group to display on Peds Plan. On the practice template, the Bright Futures entries are read-only. You can have more detailed guidance selections than what is available in the Fourth edition by adding up to three, customized fields for the Anticipatory Guidance sections on the Peds Plan template. Use these fields for the three, most frequently documented guidance selections. You can create other practice-specific guidance selections by configuring the picklist for the Other fields in every section available for any age group. Configuring Anticipatory Guidance Content
You can enable practices to configure detailed selections that are no longer available in the Bright Futures Fourth Edition. On the Peds Anticipatory Guidance Setup practice template, you can do the following: The Bright Futures Fourth Edition entries are read-only, but if your practice needs guidance selections that are more detailed than what is available in the 4th edition, you can add up to three customized fields to display in the sections under Anticipatory Guidance on the Peds Plan template. The fields added by the practice are indicated in the Peds Plan template with an arrow next to those items. This enables you to use the top three, most-used, practice items as a checkbox in the respective section. Anticipatory Guidance section You can set up practice-level, anticipatory guidance entries for the Other field in the Anticipatory Guidance section on the Peds Plan template.
