Open the BH Foundation Configuration Template

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens with the system-related templates. Select All. The list of all the system templates opens. Add a Unit Code Calculation

The fields across the top of the Unit Code Calculation Configuration panel correspond directly with the data grid below. For example, the field directly above the Code column corresponds to the unit code. Open the BH Foundation Configuration template, and then expand the Unit Code Calculation Configuration panel. Select a code from the list. In Mins/Unit, enter the number of minutes needed to make one unit for this code. In Max Units, enter the maximum number of units acceptable for this code. In Type, select Exact or Round. To make the code practice-specific, select the appropriate Practice. Select Add. The unit code calculation appears in the grid. If Behavioral Health SIM codes with standard (15, 30, 60, 240) or custom Base Minutes are set up in the Service Items Library for billing in NextGen® Enterprise PM, then the Behavioral Health Base Minute Rounding Methods should be defined for each payer. The rounding methods affect how the units are calculated on a behavioral health charge for the payer based on the total time entered for the charge.
