Generate the Missing Billing Report

Before you begin You must configure this report prior to generating this file for the first time. You can generate a reporting listing the charges that were posted from a NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite billable template but were never posted to the charges table in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The report is run for all patient encounters and can be run for all providers or filtered for a selected provider. This report is helpful to find instances when there is an error between the billing template and the procedure module, and the chanrge is not processed properly into NextGen® Enterprise PM. It does not consider the charges that are voided or marked as voided or billed-in-error chanrges. From the File menu, select Reports and then Crystal Reports. Expand the All encounters for All Patient section. Select Missing Billing for All. Select Preview. Select a provider or ***All Provider***. Select OK. The report opens. Charges

You use the Charges panel to bill for services rendered during the encounter. Your practice can configure SIM codes to be available based on practice, payer/contract, location, licensure, template name in the BH Foundation Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. If the service will not be billed, you can select the No Billing for Service checkbox. With the checkbox selected, you can skip the billing fields and “No Billing for Service” displays on the generated document. The Provider and Credential fields are read-only fields. The Provider field displays the name of the provider the current user is associated to in System Administrator. A provider with the relationship of Self has their own name displaying in the Provider field. A user associated to a provider in System Administrator has the associated provider’s name displaying. Document a Child and Family Team Meeting Note

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select CFT Meeting Note (BH), and then select OK. In the Time Entry Navigation sidebar, select Billing Time Entry, and then enter the start time. Note: You can select the current time or enter the time manually. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. To indicate that the patient did not attend the meeting, select No Show. Enter the meeting details such as location, attendees, and discussions. In the Next Meeting Date field, select the date from the calendar. Document the patient's assessment and diagnosis details. Document Crisis Treatment Plan Details

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Crisis Treatment Plan (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Crisis Treatment Plan (BH) template from your Packet Navigation or you can open the template from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. In the Time Entry Navigation sidebar, select Billing Time Entry, and then enter the start time. Note: You can select the current time or enter the time manually. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. Document the Adult Recovery Team Meeting Note

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select ART Meeting Note (BH), and then select OK. In the Time Entry Navigation sidebar, select Billing Time Entry, and then enter the start time. Note: You can select the current time or enter the time manually. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. To indicate that the patient did not attend the meeting, select No Show. Document the Initial Screening Details

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Screening Note (BH), and then select OK. In the Time Entry Navigation sidebar, select Billing Time Entry, and then enter the start time. Note: You can select the current time or enter the time manually. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. In the Individuals Present panel, document the details of the individuals present during the assessment. Enter your plan and discussion on the patient's treatment. Note: You can select Copy Forward to copy existing details from another encounter to the current encounter. Document the patient's assessment and diagnosis details.
