Configuring Tabs and Links

Navigation is program-specific, and you can configure them differently. After you configure a program, tabs and links appear at the top of each NextGen® Enterprise EHR medical records template for the program.

You can set unique tabs and links for each of your Programs, Practices, or Locations. To do this, you must first select a Program. If you want to make the tabs and sub-navigation practice or location-specific, then you must ensure the Practice and Location are completed before configuring your tabs and links.

For best practice workflow, NextGen Healthcare recommends that a practice is always selected when configuring tabs and links. If you have multiple practices and want a global tab set for all practices, you must leave the practice field empty.
