PHI Events
There are two PHI-related events that can exist in the Events table. For these events to appear, you must configure at least one channel with a custom metadata column named PATIENT_ID and populate that metadata column within the channel. For example, a channel that receives HL7v2 messages can have a transformer step that populates PATIENT_ID with the value of PID.2.1.
Once you have configured a channel with this information, whenever a user queries that channel's messages from the Message Browser or the REST API, a Queried PHI event is created. Similarly, whenever a user views one of that channel's messages that has a PATIENT_ID, an Accessed PHI event is created.
