Support Considerations
Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare support includes the maintenance of the Mirth® Connect application only. It is recommended that the NextGen support team acquire access to each of the VM instances so that upgrades and maintenance of the Mirth® Connect application can be done. This includes SSH access to the VMs and Mirth® Connect administrator access. An alternative would be to schedule webex meetings when access is required. Maintaining the operating system on the VMs and maintaining all the Azure services will be done by the client.
Automated CentOS patching can be done without concern on it's affect on the Mirth® Connect application. More concern should be centered around upgrade/patching of the JAVA JRE as it will have the most impact on the Mirth® Connect application. If there is a planned upgrade of JAVA, please contact support to see if the JAVA version is supported and if there are any impact to the application.
