Manage Printing

The appliance uses Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) to manage printing.

Your Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare uses Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) to manage printing and print-related tasks. The printing service allows you to open and control who has access to the CUPS Administrator. Before you can open the CUPS Administrator, you must add your IP address to the list of IP addresses enabled to administer CUPS.
  1. To add your IP address, do the following:
    1. Select Services > Printing.
    2. Enter your IP address manually or automatically by selecting Add my IP.
    3. Select Update.

  2. After your IP address is added, select Administer.

    In the CUPS administration window, you can perform several print-related tasks, such as adding printers, managing printers, and managing jobs.
