Statement Options Window Buttons

Fields	Description
Preview	Shows the preview for each statement in the current batch on window.
Print	Prints statements in the current batch.
Export	Creates an ASCII export file for statements in the current batch to be sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing).
Late Fee	Shows this option prior to printing or exporting to add a late fee charge to the appropriate accounts in the current batch. Note: This option is not available when printing a demand account statements or a demand patient statement.
Stmt Report	Shows this option prior to printing or exporting to generate a Statement Run Report showing all accounts included in the current batch. Note: A Statement Run Report is automatically generated after a statement batch is printed or exported.
Reset	Resets the Next Statement Print Date to today (current system date) for all accounts that had statements generated on a specified date. This allows statements from that date to be reprinted or re-exported.
Close	Closes the Statement Options window.

Print or Export Batch Statements

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select File > Print Forms > Statements. The Statement Options window opens. The default settings on the Statement Options > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Do one of the following: To print the statements, select Print. To create an ASCII export file to be sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing), select Export. When the Update Last Statement Dates check box is selected, a confirmation message appears that the statements are printed or exported correctly. If all statements in the batch did not print or export correctly, select No. The parameters listed below are not updated and all guarantor accounts in the batch will requalify for the next statement run. If all statements in the batch are printed or exported correctly, select Yes. The following parameters are updated on the Account Profile > Properties t

Statement Options Window Filters

The Statement Options window includes four additional tabs at the top of the window. These tabs can be used as additional filters to include or exclude specific Enterprises, Practices, Locations or Providers prior to printing or exporting a statement batch. When generating a batch of statements, the current Enterprise and Practice, and all Locations and all Providers within the current enterprise or practice, are selected by default. Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Charge or Payment Window

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. To open the Patient Statement window from the Charge Posting window, do the following: Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the patient and encounter. Select Print Menu, and then select Statement. The Patient Statement window opens. To open the Patient Statement window from the Payment Entry window, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Posting. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the batch, and then right-click and select Open. The Payment Entry window opens. Select Statement from the menu. The Patient Statement window opens. The default settings on the Patient Statement > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements.
