Redact EOB with single rectangle | Enables you to redact or block-out only the selected portion of the EOB image. Clear the check box to redact or block-out only the portion of the EOB image that is not selected. This setting impacts the “redact” (block-out) function when working with EOB images on the Payment Entry window that were scanned in NextGen® Document Management. |
Start location for cursor on chart/patient lookup | To set the default cursor position when you access the Person Lookup or Patient Lookup windows in any NextGen® Enterprise application. Selecting a default field saves time during patient and person searches because instead of navigating to the field, the cursor moves to the field you need. For example, if you often use the date of birth to conduct searches, you must select Birth Date. Then when you look up a patient, the cursor automatically moves to the Birth Date field.
Use phonetic search | Enables the Phonetic Search check box to be selected by default on the Patient/Person Lookup window. The setting applies to all applications that use the Patient/Person Lookup window.
Do not refresh search list after updating | Enables you to save your place in the search results list while you make changes to a record in the list. This setting is helpful when the search results contain a long list of records and several need to be updated. The record you modified will still be selected after you save the changes. If the check box is not selected and you open a record further down in the list and save changes to it, the list updates and the first record is selected instead of the one you modified. |
Limit Charge Entry diagnosis search ahead to selected category | Enables you to set a default list of categories for the search ahead feature in charge entry and then select a diagnosis category. Only codes contained within the selected diagnosis category are available in the search ahead. This lookup expedites coding because having a category of your most commonly used diagnosis codes prevents you from having to search the entire Diagnosis Code library. You can still select additional diagnosis codes by performing a diagnosis lookup.
Show successful response in the Last __ Day(s) | Enables you to display the NextGen® Eligibility Verification response for the latest successful transaction available for the specified number of days from the current date.
