You can enter the deductible amount manually from Explanation of Benefits (EOB) during the payment entry process or automatically through the Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) process. You can track the deductible amounts using various reports.
CAUTION:
The
Deductible Amount field is cumulative. For example if you have a transaction with five lines, each with a $10.00 deductible, then the transactions ledger in chart will display a transaction line item with a summarized $50.00 total for deductible.
