Search Criteria for Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead
You can use the search criteria on the Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead window to find available time slots to book new appointments in various practices without having to log out from the currently logged on practice. Multiple parameters can be used together. For example, you can simultaneously select an enterprise event, a service location, a resource, and an appointment date range, and find the available slot.
The following search criteria are available.
Field | Description |

Patient | You can select a patient from the patient lookup.

Enterprise Event | This is the only field that is available when the Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead window opens. The remaining search criteria such as Search By, Resource, and Service Location are available after you select the enterprise event.

Search By | If you select Resources , the Resources list appears. If you select Enterprise Classes, the Enterprise Classes list appears. |
Resources or Enterprise Classes | You can select one or more resources for the search or select a single enterprise class. You cannot select both a resource and an enterprise class. If multiple resources are selected, the search attempts to find time slots where all the selected resources are available for the appointment. If the resources are from different practices, the available time slots for each resource appear separately and you can switch to the corresponding practice to book an appointment.
If a class is selected, the search attempts to find time slots where any resource in the selected class is available for the appointment.

Service Location | You can select one or more service locations for the search. If multiple locations are selected, the search attempts to find time slots available at any of the selected locations. Only templated service locations appear for the selected enterprise event. When the patient is selected or a zip code is entered, the service location displays the nearest location. |
Start Date | You can enter the start date of the date range to be used in the search.

End Date | You can enter the end date of the date range to be used in the search.

Start Time | You can enter the start time of the range to be used in the search.
|
End Time | You can enter the end time of the range to be used in the search.
|
Find next [n] Appts | You can use the up and down arrow keys to select the number of available time slots to be displayed.

Day of Week | You can select the days of the week to be used in the search or select No Preference to search any day of the week.

Zip Code | If a patient was selected, this field defaults to the zip code on the Patient Demographics window. If no patient was selected, you can enter the zip code manually. The zip code should be of 5 or 9 digits. You can enter only a numeric value. |
Search within xx miles of zip | If the selected patient has a zip code or you enter a zip code, this field gets enabled, enter the number of miles to search for the nearest service location. The Service Location field automatically selects locations within the specified number of miles from the zip code.
