Patient Group Search Criteria

Field	Description
Group Name	To find patient groups by Group Name, enter all or part of the name. An asterisk can be used as a wild card character. For example: abc: Finds names that start with any letter(s) followed by abc Abc: Finds names that start with Ab followed by any letter(s) followed by c Abc*: Finds names that start with Abc followed by any letter(s)
Location	To find patient groups by Location, select one or more locations from the list. When multiple locations are selected, patient groups matching any one of those locations are included in the search results. Note: The list includes locations that have the Display in Scheduling check box selected in the Locations master file in File Maintenance.
Clinicians(s)/Facilitator(s)	To find patient groups by Clinicians/Facilitators, select one or more providers from the list. When multiple providers are selected, patient groups matching any one of those providers are included in the search results. Note: The list includes all providers in the Providers master file in File Maintenance.
Effective on	To find patient groups by Effective Date, enter a date in MMDDYY format or select the calendar button to select a date.
Day of the Week	To find patient groups by Meeting Schedule, select the check box for one or more days of the week. No Preference is selected by default. When multiple days are selected, patient groups matching any one of those days are included in the search results.
Start Time Range	To find patient groups by Meeting Schedule, select a start time range in HH:MM A or HH:MM P format
Include Expired	To find expired patient groups, select this check box. Groups with an Expiration Date prior to the current system date (today) are included in the search results.
Include Hidden	To find hidden patient groups, select this check box. Groups with the Hide check box selected are included in the search results with a Hide icon displayed to the left of the group name.
Include Inactive	To find inactive patient groups, select this check box. Groups with the Active check box not selected are included in the search results.

Search for a Patient Group

Open patient group. The Patient Group Search window opens. Enter search criteria to find the desired patient groups. Multiple parameters can be used. For example, you can enter all or part of the Group Name, select a Location and select a Day of the Week. Select Find. Patient groups that match all search criteria entered are listed in the Matching Records section at the bottom of the window. For multi-select search criteria, patient groups that match any of the criteria are listed. For example, if your search criteria included Locations X, Y and Z, and Clinicians/Facilitators A, B and C, and Days of the Week Tue, Wed and Thu, the search results lists any patient group at location X, Y or Z for clinicians A, B or C that meets on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. If no search criteria were entered, all patient groups are listed except those that are expired, hidden or inactive. Add or Modify General Information for a Patient Group

The General tab on the Patient Group window enables you to enter specific information and details for the group. These details are used primarily for informational purposes. Access Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. Select the General tab. In the Group Name field, enter a name for the group. This field is required. The Active check box is selected by default indicating the group is an active group. To flag the group as inactive, deselect the check box. Note: You can access inactive groups by selecting the Include Inactive check box on the Patient Group Search window. In the Effective Date field, enter the date the group goes into effect. Add Members to a Patient Group

The Members tab on the Patient Group window enables you to add patients with charts to the group. When you add a person without a chart, you are prompted to create their chart during the process. You can also manage existing future group appointments for the added members. Access Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. Select the Members tab. Note: Programs display for a patient when their Program Enrollment Date is on or before the current system date (today) and their Program Discharge Date is on or after the current system date or blank.
