Modify a Relationship
Open the
Person Information
or
Patient Information
window for the desired person or patient.
Select the
Relations/Role
tab.
In the
Relationship
section, select the row for the relationship to be modified.
Select the
Open Menu
button, and select
Open
.
The
Modify Relationship Information
window appears.
Modify information for the relationship as needed.
To save changes and close the window, select
OK
.

Hide a Relationship
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. In the Relationship section, select the row for the relationship to be hidden. Select the Open Menu button, and select Hide. The following prompt appears: Confirm hide of [Relationship Name]? To hide the relationship, select Yes. The hidden icon appears to the left of the relationship's name. A check mark appears next to Hide in the Open menu. Parent topic: Relationship Information

Add a Relationship
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Relations/Role tab. In the Relationship section, select the Open Menu button, and select New. The Relationship Lookup window appears. Enter the desired Search Criteria to find the relationship. Select Find. All persons and patients that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records list. If no records are found, the following prompt appears: No records were found! Do one of the following: From the Matching Records list, double-click to select the relationship. Select New to add a person record for the relationship. The Modify Relationship Information window appears. Enter and update information for the relationship as needed. In the Relationship field, select the person's relationship to the patient. This field is required. Note: Items available for selection are from the Relationships code table in File Maintenance. To save changes and close the window, select OK

Delete a Relationship
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Relations/Role tab. In the Relationship section, select the row for the relationship to be deleted. Select the Open Menu button, and select Delete. The following prompt appears: Confirm removal of patient relationship? To delete the relationship, select OK. Note: If the relationship being deleted is the guarantor on one or more encounters, the following prompt appears: This person is being used as a guarantor for a patient's encounter in this or another practice. Modify Relationships in Patient Records
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Relations/Role tab. In Relationship, select the row. Select the open menu icon, and then select Open. In the Modify Relationship Information window, update the information as needed. Select OK. If you want to assign a support role to this relationship, select the open menu icon, select Create Support Role, and then select Support Role. Parent topic: Relationship Information

Modify a Contact
Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. The Contact section displays the current contact. Select the Open Record button. The Modify Contact Information window appears. Modify information for the contact as needed. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Parent topic: Contact Information
