Encounter Level by Percentage or Dollar Amount

You can calculate the discount amount for all charges on the encounter by multiplying the original charge amount with the percentage for each charge. When you select Apply patient discount to patient balance only on the Charge Entry tab on the Practice Preferences window and the Line Item and Discount by dollar amount are selected on the Discount Adjustment Code window.
