window for the desired patient.
Select the
UDS
tab.
Delete the current Head of Household (see
Delete a Head of Household - UDS Tab
).
The head of household and the family information are removed.

Delete a Head of Household - UDS Tab
Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the UDS tab. The Head of Household section displays the current head of household. Select the Open Record button, and select Delete. The head of household is removed. Note: The deleted head of household is not removed from the Relationship section of the tab. Modify Family Information
Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the UDS tab. In the Family Information section, select the Open Menu button, and select Open. The Family Info window appears. Modify the following fields as needed. Family Size (see note) Income (see note) Income Cycle (see note) Refused to Report (see note) Verify Date Effective/Expiration Dates To save changes and close the window, select OK. Note: Family information can be modified only if it has not been used. If family size and income were previously used to calculate automatic adjustments on an encounter, they cannot be modified. Only the Verify Date and Effective/Expiration Dates can be modified. Parent topic: Family Information

Family Information
In the Family Information section of the UDS tab, you can enter family size and annual income for the patient's head of household. This information is typically used by Community Health Centers in conjunction with sliding fee schedules. When a patient qualifies for a sliding fee schedule, family size and income are used to determine the percentage of charges that are automatically adjusted for the patient. Family information is also reported on the UDS Report. Note: A head of household must be selected for a patient to enter family information. Family Information is stored at the practice level; therefore, each practice can enter and maintain different information for a person or patient. Delete a Head of Household - Relations/Roles Tab
Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. The Head of Household section displays the current head of household. Select the Open Record button. The Modify Head of Household Information window appears. Select Delete. The following prompt appears: Confirm removal of patient head of household? To delete the head of household, select OK. Note: The deleted head of household is not removed from the Relationship section of the tab. Parent topic: Head of Household Information
