Add Medical Necessity Certificate

When a service or product is covered by the patient's insurance, you can complete a Certificate of Medical Necessity which may include items such as selected durable medical equipment, prosthetics, and orthodontics.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. Select an encounter on the patient chart, and then select the Insurance tab.
  3. Select the applicable insurer, right-click and select CMN.
    The Certificates of Medical Necessity Information window opens.

  4. Select the applicable fields.
  5. Select OK.
