Add a Person Guarantor

Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. In the Guarantor section, select the Open Menu button, and select Person as Guarantor. The Guarantor Lookup window appears. Do one of the following: If the patient is the guarantor, select Self. The patient displays in the Guarantor section of the Relations/Roles tab. If someone other than the patient is the guarantor, enter the desired Search Criteria to find the guarantor. Select Find. All persons and patients that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records list. If no records are found, the following prompt appears: No records were found! Do one of the following: From the Matching Records list, double-click to select the guarantor. Select New to add a person record for the guarantor. The Modify Guarantor Information window appears. Add an Employer Guarantor

Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. In the Guarantor section, select the Open Menu button, and select Employer as Guarantor. The Employer Lookup window appears. In the Employer Name field, enter all or part of the employer's name. Select Find. All employers that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records list. Note: Items available for selection are from the Employers master file in File Maintenance. If no records are found, the following prompt appears: No records were found! From the Matching Records list, double-click to select the employer. The Employer Maintenance window appears. CAUTION: Do not make modifications in the Demographics section of the window. These changes update the Employers master file in File Maintenance. Modify a Guarantor

Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. The Guarantor section displays the current guarantor. Select the Open Record button. Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. In the Guarantor section, select the Open Menu button, and select Employer as Guarantor.
