Add or Modify External Systems for Master List Items

You can use the External tab to define a cross-reference for the master list item in NextGen® Enterprise to the ID for the item in the external system. Open File Maintenance, and select Master Lists. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. Double-click a master list item. The Modify [Master List] Information window opens. To add or modify external systems for master lists, from the External tab, do one of the following: To open the Add External Interface window and add an item, select open menu , and then select New. To open the Modify External Interface window and modify an item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. In theExternal IDfield, enter the ID that represents the resource in the external system. In theExternal Systemfield, select the system to interface with the NextGen applications. To keep your reports manageable, consider adding no more than 25 codes to any one Master List table. You can set up a code of Other for each list to cover less frequently used data entries. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Lists. The Master Lists List window opens. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. To filter the master list items, select or clear any of the following check boxes: Include Hidden Items to display items in the master list that are hidden. Include EHR Items to display items in the master list that are set up as Show in EHR. Include PM Items to display items in the master list that are set up as Show in PM. Create Master Lists for Case Management

In File Maintenance window, select Master Lists. The Master Lists List window opens. In the Master List field, select a master list. The list below updates to display the contents of the selected master list. If the contents of the master list is lengthy, you can adjust which items display by selecting one or more of the following check boxes: Check Box Description Include Hidden Items Select to display items that are set to be hidden in the master list. OR Clear the check box to remove the hidden items from the list. Include PM Items Select to display items that are only available to NextGen® Enterprise PM. OR Clear the check box to remove NextGen® Enterprise PM items from the list. Include EHR Items Select to display items that are only available to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Viewing Master Files for a Specific Product

You can reduce the number of master files listed to only those that are used by a specific product. The products that you are licensed for display under Master Files underneath System and Practice on the File Maintenance window. When you select a product, the master files related to that product are displayed in the File Maintenance desktop area. For example, if you select PM and you are licensed for Chart Tracking, the Chart Tracking master files are included in the master file list. If you are not licensed for Chart Tracking, those master files do not display. You can search for a master file by selecting Ctrl + F and then entering the master file name in the search box. Set Up the Language Master List

After you add a new language in the Language Master List the following occurs: The Master List Language report includes the column Mapped Correspondence Language. After you map a master list language to a supported correspondence language, this field is populated. For example, if you map Castilian Spanish to Spanish; Spanish(ES), displays in this column. After you add the new language, it displays in the Correspondence Language Master File on the Correspondence Language Mapping window in the Master List Languages list. Access File Maintenance. Select Master Lists. The Master Lists List window opens. In the Master List field, select Language. To limit the contents of the Language Master List, select one or more of the following check boxes: Check Box Description Include Hidden Items Do one of the following: Select this check box to display items in the master list that are hidden. Edit Picklist Values and Order

You can change picklist values and change the order that values appear in the picklist. Select the picklist in the Picklists grid. Select the value in the Picklists Values grid. The value is pulled into the Value field. Edit the value entry, and then select Update. The updated value is added to the grid at the bottom of the list. To change the order of the picklist, select any value in the list and use the up or down arrows below the grid to move it up or down in the order. To sort the list alphabetically, select the Sort Alphabetically checkbox. Note: Changes made will not appear in NextGen® Enterprise EHR until the picklists have been refreshed.
